It's with great sadness that I post to tell everyone that Sue Dyson - a very supportive friend to Vivian and organiser of his appreciation society has died.

She and I became steadfast friends after Vivian introduced us to each other with the florid command that we 'get on and don't fight!'.

I think we did him proud.

Oh that's so sad! I remember you telling me about her. She must have been pretty young, do you know how she died? Ki is on Facebook, does she know?

The juries still out on the cause of death. We should know more next week.

She was in her mid-50's and has had years of ill health.

To be honest, whatever took her I think its for the best...the same as I think Viv's death was a blessing.

God bless her. She was so strong and supportive of all around her.

I'll miss her.

Sorry to hear Louise. So sad to lose an old friend.

Hi Cuthbert

I met Sue at the same time I first met Neil in 1991.

I'd got a mock club newsletter together to try and sell the idea of reviving a Neil Innes club to him. Vivian got to see it, told me about VSPS and introduced me to Sue.

As well as putting VSPS together she would help him with a bit of editing whenever he asked or just go over to his place and spend time with him.

She worked as a translator and started picking up work translating French books as well as writing her own stuff under her own name and the pen name Zoe Barnes.

She also had an amazing voice and performed locally.

She was very proactive about her health issues for instance writing books to help others understand coping with the auto-immune condition Sjogrens which she developed in later life.

Her passions were cats and the Isle of Man. She often went there when she was looking for inspiration. She was on the island when she passed, and for that I'm grateful to whoever the big guy is up above who pulls all the strings.

I just cant believe she's gone.
